Madonna hires big-shot lawyer; A-Rod factor?
We told you Madonna wouldn't be screwing around with her divorce from Guy Ritchie. The Times of London says she's hired Fiona Shackleton, the lawyer who represented Prince Charles and Heather Mills. Talk about an A-list -- or D-list, in this case.
The couple are reportedly worth some $525 million (some estimates reach $600 million), but the bulk of that belongs to Madonna. Ritchie has an estimated $35 million fortune, but many are saying he could get up to $300 million. They own homes in London, Los Angeles and New York, and a 1,200-acre retreat in Wiltshire, England.
The poison pill in this is whether or not Madge really was screwing around with New York Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez. MSNBC's The Scoop reported A-Rod was at her Oct. 12 concert in New York.
"Before the show (Rodriguez) wasn’t there, but after the lights went down and she started singing, he came in and sat front and center," a source says. Maybe he's just a really big fan. He'd have to be, since The Scoop also says he plans on joining a trip with her to Malawi after her tour is over. NoWe can see why Guy wouldn't have cared for that.
