Madonna may perform at Super Bowl XLVI halftime
The NFL season has just started, and already there are reports of who will perform at Super Bowl XLVI in Indianapolis on February. Hopefully they'll find someone better than the aging, disconnected superstar pop icons of year's past. That's why the rumor is Madonna will get the nod. Wait, what?
SBNation.com says Madge is the pick, but the NFL isn't confirming. They note that the MFL planned to have her sing at XXXIII in 1998, but that didn't work out, and then XXXV two years later, but she backed out, so it's not like they aren't okay with this choice. Still, the last time anything interesting happened at a Super Bowl halftime show, Janet Jackson's career was almost ruined and the unfortunate term "wardrobe malfunction" entered the lexicon.
But Mr. The Juice*, who would you pick to perform at halftime?, I hear you asking. Easy: Reunite A Tribe Called Quest, team them up with Daft Punk and Lil Wayne and have them do a mashup with Gwar on a boat in 3-D. That would be a halftime show you would not dare miss.
