If there's one thing Maksim Chmerkovskiy has proven on Dancing With the Stars, it's that dance pros can be super-huge divas just like singers and actors. Therefore, it should come as no surprise his contentious run on the reality show will come to an end when his contract expires at the end of next year. There must not be enough money in the world to keep him, especially after that Hope Solo thing.

"What else do I have to do there after 15 seasons?" Maksim told the New York Post, which notes he'll first be teaming up with Kirstie Alley again for an all-star season that starts Monday. "It makes total sense. The audience can't expect for me to want to stick around, and the producers can't expect for me to want to stick around."

Chmerkonskiy pretty much admitted the problem is he isn't getting enough attention: "Essentially, 80 percent of our job is to give somebody another push in their career," he said. "Or we make them into likable characters. But at the end of the day, they go off and they better themselves. I loved doing it. But to be honest with you, at 32, I am at 'what-about-me time.'"

At least he admits it. He told the paper he planned to be an actor, starting with a movie that starts shooting in January, and possibly a reality show with his brother, Val. Gee, we wonder if either project is going to have anything to do with dancing ...
