'Malcolm in the Middle' star Frankie Muniz suffers 'mini-stroke'

Former Malcolm in the Middle actor Frankie Muniz had a scare last week, suffering what doctors described as a "mini-stroke" on Friday. He's doing fine now, but he's only 27, doesn't drink or do drugs, and has never smoked, so it came as quite a surprise.

"I couldn't say words. I thought I was saying them! My fiancee was looking at me like I was speaking a foreign language," he told Good Morning America on Wednesday, according to USA Today. TMZ initially reported his friends took him to the emergency room because he was "acting really weird," a description that apparently includes losing sight in one eye while he was riding a motorcycle in Phoenix on Friday. That would make us act really weird.

Reports say Muniz suffered a transient ischemic attack, an event in which blood flow to the brain is interrupted, causing stroke-like symptoms for up to 24 hours. "I can't get a deep breath in. I'm still trying to make sense of it, but happy I'm alive," Muniz said. Of course, awhile back he threatend to shoot himself in the head in front of fiancee Elycia Turnbow, but now he can get back to racing cars, which is much safer than having strokes.
