Man arrested for trying to break into Paris Hilton's house
UPDATED: Yesterday we broke our vow to not write about Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt, so today we'll bend the rules to say that a man was arrested in L.A. for allegedly trying to break into Paris Hilton's house, reportedly while carrying two large knives. Hey, we may think she's famous for no reason, but we don't want anyone to kill her.
LAPD officer Gregory Baek told the AP an unnamed man in his 40s was arrested about 6:30 a.m. Tuesday, but TMZ says it was 31-year-old Nathan Lee Parada, who was charged with felony burglary and was being held on $50,000 bail. Baek couldn't confirm if he was armed, but Paris confirmed it for us, writing on her Twitter feed, @ParisHilton: "So Scary, just got woken up to a guy trying to break into my house holding 2 big knifes. Cops are here arresting him." The tweet includes a link to a photo of Parada (above) being held in handcuffs. He was arrested back in July for alleged burglary, grand theft and vandalism, TMZ adds.
"What a scary sight to wake up to. I can't believe the knives he was carrying," Paris told RadarOnline. "Thank god the police arrived quickly." She noted the man was banging on the home's windows, making her dogs bark, although an army of lap dogs yapping is hardly enough to stop a home invasion.
