Mariah Carey gives birth to twins in L.A.
The neverending wait for the birth of Mariah Carey's twins is over, as the pair arrived Saturday, which just so happened to be her fourth anniversary with husband Nick Cannon. If only Saturday had been Dec. 25, they would have had all their big dates consolidated in one mega-event.
The baby girl showed up first, weighing 5 pounds, 3 ounces, and her brother then showed up at 5 pounds, 6 ounces, according to rep Cindi Berger. Neither child has a name yet, but we've got to spread the news out for at least another day, anyway.
Mimi was apparently very calm throughout, thinking it was just another false labor, while daddy Nick was spazzing out, Berger said. He even went to the wrong department at the hospital and had to be redirected by the nurse, the AP reports. "It was like right out of an I Love Lucy skit," Berger said.
"My wife just gave me the most incredible anniversary gift in life! I won't ever be able to top this!" Cannon tweeted via @NickCannon. "I'm in the happiest place I've ever been in my life. I never had more amazing things happening. I am humbled by God's Favor!!"
Besides what the kids' names will be, the only question left to be answered is which city the family will spend more time in -- they have homes with nurseries in both New York and L.A. Considering mama was taken to the hospital in a Rolls-Royce Phantom, you can only imagine what they look like.
