Mariah Carey, Justin Bieber singing a duet on Christmas album

While the stores have long put up the Christmas decorations in a vain attempt to get out of the red before the ides of December, Mariah Carey and Justin Bieber have something special planned for you: They're singing a duet of her 1994 ditty All I Want For Christmas Is You. Yeah, we're already lining up at our laptops to buy it on iTunes, as well.

"I'm so glad we are making our mutual fans happy. Christmas time is my favorite time of year!" Mimi wrote via @MariahCarey, drawing a response from @justinbieber saying "yeah it's going to be something special" and conveniently linking to a video of Carey pimping the new song (watch the video above). It will be included on Bieber's first Christmas album, Under the Mistletoe, which is being released on Nov. 1.

Isn't the idea of a pop Christmas album to sing your own songs? He could at least least sing a song about Jesus to the tune of Baby. It has two syllables and everything.
