Mariah Carey, Sean Combs whine about D.C.
President Barack Obama is learning quickly you can't please everyone all the time, since Mariah Carey apparently left the inauguration on Tuesday when she learned she wouldn't be treated like royalty. Because she's Mimi, you plebes!
"Mariah was in the VIP area, where every celebrity, like Jon Bon Jovi, Mary J. Blige, Alicia Keys and Bruce Springsteen, was seated," a source tells the New York Post's Page Six "But somehow she thought she'd be up with the Obama family. When she realized she wasn't, she bailed."
In other divatastic news, Sean Combs was apparently mad that he wasn't invited to perform anywhere, and that Jay-Z made a bigger splash than he did. That's what happens when you try to get tickets to the inauguration gratis, Diddy. But he was happy with his seats, unlike Mariah.
"It was one of the greatest moments of his life," his rep told the Post. "Sean was invited to the inauguration and was seated third row, with Jay-Z, at the ceremony."
