Mark Wahlberg apologizes a little too much

tbd-markwahlberg011912.jpgMark Wahlberg just won't keep his yar closed about his Sept. 11 tomfoolery in Men's Journal, going on a radio show and saying yet another stupid thing. It's called silence, Mark. Maybe you should try it.

In an unprompted moment of explanation, Wahlberg told the folks on Kid Kraddock in the Morning, "I would never disrespect the victims of 9/11 or their families. It was completely misunderstood. My only intention was to explain the fact that I would do anything to protect my family – I would put myself in harms way to protect my family or innocent people. That was it."

And then he goes too far: "First and foremost, I am not an actor.  I am a real guy from the streets and I’ve been in a lot of situations, so I was probably speaking out of line and I wasn't thinking of the real heroes ..."

He then goes on about how the media doesn't write about him working with troubled kids or visiting troops in Afghanistan, but we're stuck on how he says he's not an actor, just a regular guy. Don't worry, Mark, we saw The Happening. We know. Now please, we get it. Stop talking about it. No one's asking anymore.
