Mark Wahlberg will be in 'Transformers 4'
It looks like nobody who originally starred in the first Michael Bay Transformers movie wants (or is allowed) to come back, so he's cast Mark Wahlberg for round four. We don't know who's getting the worse part of that deal, the actor, the director or the audience.
"Mark is awesome. We had a blast working on Pain and Gain and I’m so fired up to be back working with him," Bay said in a canned quote on his personal website. "An actor of his caliber is the perfect guy to re-invigorate the franchise and carry on the Transformers' legacy."
The flick begins shooting in the spring, which coincides with the release of the aforementioned Pain and Gain. That one is based on a true story about the criminal shenanigans of three Miami personal trainers, who will be played by Wahlberg, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Anthony Mackie. It's a comedy, in case you can't tell with Bay's movies.
