Marvel will release 'Guardians of the Galaxy' in 2014
Not content to load up theaters with endless sequels to Iron Man and The Avengers, Marvel has tipped their hand about what its untitled 2014 project will be. Anyone remember Guardians of the Galaxy? Yeah, neither do we.
Deadline.com says the 31st century heroes originally unveiled in 1969 will time travel to theaters on May 16 of that year, presumably in the 2008 incarnation. That team featured heroes like Adam Warlock, Drax the Destroyer, Gamora, Rocket Raccoon, Groot and Phyla-Vell. If you have no idea who any of those people are, join the club, because as geeky as The Juice* is, our boundaries are formed somewhere around knowing what the Infinity Gauntlet is. Speaking of which, the site posits Thanos, who was glimpsed at the end of The Avengers, will be the villain for this movie.
Of course, that all may be overreach on Marvel and Disney's part, so rest assured Iron Man 3 will be out May 3, 2013; Thor 2 will hit Nov. 8, 2013; and Captain America 2 will be released April 4, 2014. And still no Black Widow/Hawkeye movie. Sorry to hear that, Scarlett Johansson.
