Matthew Broderick, Sarah Jessica Parker selling Manhattan townhouse for $25 million
If you're looking for a new place to stay in Manhattan's Greenwich Village, Matthew Broderick and Sarah Jessica Parker have a little place up for sale. It'll only cost you $25 million, but you'll be able to say you're living like Carrie Bradshaw always dreamed she would!
The couple has two townhouses in the Village, you see, and according to the New York Observer, they've decided to sell off their second one through Sotheby's because they never bothered to move in. The place if five stories tall, has a "parlor floor" with two rooms strictly for receiving and entertaining, a kitchen leading into the back garden, five bedrooms, seven fireplaces, an entire floor devoted to the master suit, four full bathrooms and three half baths, a media room, a library, a playroom, a workshop, an office and closets bigger than most other Manhattan apartments. And the tax bill is a measly $82,000 a year!
Of course, this is not the townhouse in which they hosted President Barack Obama, the Observer says; that one's a brisk walk away. But considering Matty and SJP paid $18.9 million for the place in March 2011, they do stand to turn quite a tidy profit for never having stayed in the joint.
