Megadeth's Dave Mustaine says President Obama staged Colorado, Sikh shootings to pass a gun ban
The Juice* has heard some pretty whacked out conspiracy theories in our day, but Dave Mustaine has come up with a frightful doozy. The lead singer of Megadeth told a crowd in Singapore that President Barack Obama staged the shootings in Colorado and Wisconsin in order to pass a fictional gun ban. Please, stop the world, we want to get off.
Mustaine spouted off during an Aug. 7 performance, and is shown in a TMZ video saying perhaps the dumbest thing we've heard all year -- and The Juice* watched all two weeks of the Olympics: "Back in my country, my president ... he's trying to pass a gun ban, so he's staging all of these murders, like the Fast And Furious thing down at the border and Aurora, Colorado, all the people that were killed there, and now the beautiful people at the Sikh temple." (Watch the video above.)
Never mind there is no such gun ban, or the terrific ignorance necessary to think any sitting president would stage mass murders in order to win public support for one. But wait, he had more intelligent things to say, relating how he told his promoter, "I don't know where I'm gonna live if America keeps going the way it's going because it looks like it's turning into Nazi America. And he said, 'Move down here to Singapore!'"
You know, Singapore, where they will fine you $200 for spitting in public or hit you several times with a cane if you spraypaint graffiti all over the place. Go on and move, Dave; I think we'll be okay without you.
