Mel Gibson calls TV reporter an 'a--hole'
You'd think by now Hollywood types would realize that the past is never the past, but Mel Gibson didn't take too kindly to a Chicago entertainment reporter asking him questions about the public's perception of him, whining through an interview and calling the guy an "a--hole" on camera, either on accident or on purpose. But really, does it matter?
WGN-TV's Dean Richards was interviewing Gibson, who was promoting Edge of Darkness, and asked him, "Do you think the public will perceive you any differently after all that's been in the news about you?" (Watch the clip above.)
Gibson feigned ignorance for a few seconds and finally got testy after Richards specifically mentioned his 2006 DUI arrest. Frankly, we're more interested in him leaving his wife of three decades for a younger Russian singer.
"That's almost four years ago, dude," Gibson says. "I've done all the necessary mea culpas. Let's move on."
Richards wrapped up the interview and said so long to Mel, who muttered "bye bye" before saying "a--hole" under his breath, which unfortunately aired during the segment just before it ended. Wow, celebrities swear and hate the media? Who knew that? What a scoop!Source
