Michael Douglas will play Liberace in silly biopic
If there's one thing we know you absolutely had to have, it was a biopic about Liberace. Luckily, Steven Soderbergh has you covered, with (wait for it ...) Michael Douglas as the star, Variety reports. Obviously they won't be exploring the pianist's younger years, then.
Also in the mix is Matt Damon, who will be playing Scott Thorson, the guy who sued Liberace in 1982 for $113 million in a palimony suit, saying he had been the ivory tickler's companion for five years. Liberace never admitted he was gay, and Thorson settled for $95,000 in 1986. Liberace died the next year from AIDS complications at age 67.
Matt Damon and Michael Douglas together? There's a mental image we didn't have when we woke up this morning.
