Michael Jackson's kids Prince Michael, Paris want to testify in Conrad Murray's manslaughter trial
In order to heighten the tension surrounding Dr. Conrad Murray's manslaughter trial, Michael Jackson's children Prince Michael and Paris both want to testify in the case, RadarOnline reports. Grandma Katharine opposes the idea and Aunt LaToya supports it, so that gives you an idea of how ill-advised this move could be.
"Katherine is resisting the move, because she knows how traumatic it would be for them, but both Prince Michael and Paris have said they want to tell the jury what they saw on the day their father died," a source tells the site. "Both LaToya and Katherine agree, however, that Blanket should not testify as he is too young." Also, he still goes by the name Blanket.
But don't go thinking just because they could potentially reveal they often saw Murray giving MJ drugs and saw Murray trying to revive the singer that it would be bad for the doctor: "Prince and Paris knew their dad relied on Dr. Murray to survive and knew their father adored him," a second source said. "Their comments could save him from jail because it would work well in the eyes of a jury."
Opening statements begin Tuesday in L.A.
