Michael Moore goes to great lengths to market films

Tbdmoore051107 Michael Moore is stirring up a storm again, this time for taking 10 ailing 9/11 rescue workers to Cuba for his upcoming health-care doc Sicko, the AP reports. The U.S. government — no fan of Moore’s, we’re sure — is investigating the filmmaker for possibly violating the trade embargo with Cuba by visiting without permission. Mikey had asked for permission way back on Oct. 12, 2006, but never heard back from the Office of Foreign Assets Control, so he took his ward of Ground Zero rescue workers there anyway for treatment. Moore’s lawyers have yet to respond, but we’re sure he’ll find a way to spin this into positive marketing.
