Michelle Duggar announces '19 Kids and Counting' family expecting 20th child
In a desperate bid to keep their TLC show 19 Kids and Counting going strong, Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar showed up on Tuesday's Today show to announce they're going to have to change the title of the show again.
"We really are excited we are expecting our 20th child. We are due in april and just thrilled," Michelle told Ann Curry with the entire clan on the set with her. Duggar said the couple thought daughter Josie, who turns 2 in December, might be their last (watch the video above). "This is the farthest apart we've gone. I mean, typically 16 to 18 months apart, and so we were really kind of thinking it might be our last and that was kind of sad ... we are just so grateful to god, so excited."
Josie, if you'll recall, almost wasn't born at all, since mom had gall-bladder problems and preeclampsia, which required the girl to be delivers a whopping three and a half months early. Shw only weighed 1 pound, 6 ounces at birth, but managed to survive. The Duggars claim that they'll take as many children as God will grant them, but that last one was pretty scary.
