Mike Tyson enlists Spike Lee for one-man show's move to New York
Mike Tyson's one-man show, Mike Tyson: Undisputed Truth, finished a successful weeklong run in Las Vegas back in April, but now he's headed for Broadway, so he's calling in the heavy hitters. The first punch is coming from director Spike Lee, who is helping the boxer punch up the show for the Big Apple. Don't worry, we're only using two more boxing metaphors. Three, tops.
TMZ says Lee is stepping into the ring to help Tyson's swing on Manhattan Island. That's impressive, but the really impressive is that Lee got theater owner Jimmy Nederlander Jr. in his corner, as well, and that guy owns several venues that could potentially host the rumble in the concrete jungle.
Okay, that may have technically been four, but it depends on how you read it. In any event, Tyson will likely be crossing the ropes sometime later this summer. All those tourists will be too scared to not buy a ticket; the last thing you want is an angry Mike Tyson coming after you.
