Miley Cyrus' 'Hannah Montana' is ending after the new season
Time to say so long, y'all, to Hannah Montana; The Mouse House has stated the upcoming fourth season will be its last, the New York Post reports. That's okay, most of the core audience for Miley Cyrus' show is starting high school and has forsaken it, anyway.
"You never know in this business ... but right now we're scheduled to wrap [forever] after shooting this new batch of episodes," says Disney Channel Worldwide's senior vice president for programming Adam Bonnett. The new season begins shooting Jan. 18, with a break in April so Miley can promote her movie, The Last Song. Subsequent episodes of the 5 million-viewer show will hit the screens over the entire year.
We guess the third season isn't even over yet (we don't watch it, although we've seen it and noticed Hannah's house is a redressed set from Tim Allen's Home Improvement), so the season three finale will hit mid-March and is "a big one-hour event where we find out what Miley Stewart's decision is going to be," Bonnett says. "It's one of the things she's been wrestling with for months -- whether it's time to make a decision to continue being Hannah Montana or just be a regular, ordinary girl."
Apparently Disney decided that for her.
