Miranda Kerr says she thought she was going to die during childbirth
If you're noticing an uptick in baby news from The Juice* lately, it's because Baby Juice* has kept babies on the brain here; please have patience. Meanwhile, here's a baby item that also includes former Victoria's Secret model Miranda Kerr, who says labor was horrific while birthing baby Flynn, so it should be obvious why this is important.
"I actually thought I was going to die at one point and left my body," the 28-year-old tells Australian InStyle. " I was looking down on myself, the pain was so intense. ... "I kept thinking, 'How do women do this?' But if other women have done this, I can do it too. I was determined."
Kerr, who is now shooting a David Jones ad campaign, says her son is the most important thing in her life now: "Flynn is a big baby...and I thought to myself, 'I have so much more that I want to do aside from modeling," she said. "I can live with my body not being in shape if I have a healthy son. It's worth it."
Flynn's daddy, actor Orlando Bloom, helps out too, so motherhood hasn't been all-consuming.
"It's whoever has their hands free. When I'm not working we don't have a nanny," she says. Wow, no nanny? You guys should give Brangelina a call.
