Morgan Spurlock writing 'Supersized' comic
Morgan Spurlock, that Super Size Me guy who ate McDonald's for a month to prove it can kill you (just eating it once will do that, you know) has decided to revisit his big break and make a comic book full of stories about eating fast food. Like comic book guys really want to hear about how fast food is bad for you.
Supersized: Strange Tales From a Fast Food Culture will be full of weird stories that didn't make it into the film, but are disgustingly fascinating nonetheless. Spurlock told the Hollywood Reporter that tons of stories flooded his Warrior Poets production company after the movie's release -- stuff liek a cremated fat man who made the mortuary smell like french fries and a garage museum of McDonald's food that never aged.
"As great as they were on paper, I think they'll be better told in a graphic-novel form," Spurlock said. "They're funny, they're gross, and hopefully they'll be informative too."
Spurlock will write the stories and Dark Horse will publish them, with various artists drawing them up. And McDonald's drawing up legal papers to dispute the stories, we're sure.
