NBC orders pilot of 'Munsters' remake, taking a look at other horrors
The remakes continue to roll out of the entertainment biz, but this time they are literally scary. Well, as scary as a new pilot of The Munsters could be.
Pushing Daisies creator Bryan Fuller has fleshed out a pilot based on how the monstrous family's house in came to be, Entertainment Weekly reports. That hourlong idea has been ordered up by NBC, so expect a pilot sooner than later.
That's not all NBC has in the works. They also are working on a Frankenstein show by House producers Garrett Lerner and Russel Friend. EW casually mentions that Fuller is working on yet another NBC project -- a series based on Thomas Harris' character, the cannibalistic Baltimore psychiatrist Hannibal Lecter. That last one, at least, is long overdue.
