NBC skips 9/11; Chris Brown's neck tattoo; Jennifer Hudson forgives killer
-- MediaBistro.com notes that every major network carried a live Sept. 11 moment of silence during Tuesday's coverage. Everyone but NBC's Today show, which decided to go with a Kris Jenner interview in which the mother of Kim Kardashian expounded on the new season of her families' reality show and her own breast implants. Because NBC truly knows what America wants.
-- The Interwebs is ablaze with word that Chris Brown's new neck tattoo looks like a beaten and bloodied version of Rihanna, which the singer's camp allegedly denies, telling TMZ, "It's a random woman" -- artfully tarted up with blobs of ink on the right half of her face. He apparently got it some time between Aug. 30 and Sept. 1, so why did it take 10 days for anyone to notice in the first place?
-- Jennifer Hudson told Oprah Winfrey she forgive William Balfour, convicted killer of her mother, brother and nephew, but she can't forgive his actions. "I feel like, for the most part, it's not his fault," she said on Sunday's episode of Oprah's Next Chapter. "It's what he was taught. How was brought up. We tried to offer love, but he was so far gone, he couldn't even see that. A lot of things came out (during the trial) that we didn't even know about from his upbringing. .. He never had a chance."
