'NCIS' may find a way to cross out Osama bin Laden
We may be seeing prime-time TV references to the death of Osama bin Laden sooner than you'd think, thanks to the technological wizards at NCIS. Those guys have all the new crime-fighting toys.
New York magazine says that while the CBS show has already wrapped for the year, there's a way to insert a sly reference to the terrorists death in the final three episodes: On the wall of the team's squad room, bin Laden's wanted poster has been hanging up since the show bowed in 2003. Since producers can't find a way to insert dialogue, Osama's face may get a digitally inserted red line crossing him out. It will be a fleeting reference in the background, but it'll be there.
Of course, it's entirely possible this is just a PR gag to get you to watch, and may not even happen at all, we can't wait to see if this is true. It'll definitely be worth the trouble.
