Nick Cannon says he and Mariah Carey won't let kids be famous
We'll give Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey credit for one thing: They want to keep their kids out of show business. That's almost enough for The Juice* to overlook his turn in the direct-to-video remake of Day of the Dead.
The 30-year-old told People he will "absolutely not" let his 4½-month-old twins, Moroccan and Monroe, be ground up by the Tinseltown meat machine: "I just want them to strive for something greater than entertainment," Cannon said. "I'm one of those believers in teachers, professors, heart surgeons. That’s what I'm rooting for. If I could get a scientist, that'd be amazing."
Jeezum crow, that's some sensible talking right there. We can sleep soundly at night knowing we'll never see Nick introducing them on America's Got Talent. The next thing you know, those kids will actually turn out all right. We might even start believing stories that Mimi has turned from her diva ways!
