Nick Cannon talks about kidney disease, blood clots
While his wife Mariah Carey is feeling great these days, Nick Cannon is suffering form all sorts of maladies, including trips to the hospital for kidney failure in January and blood clots in his lungs a couple weeks later. It's good thing he doesn't have two newborns to take care of on top of that. Oh wait.
Now he's telling People about his health: "The blood clot thing was probably the scariest because ... I've known people who have passed away from that," the 31-year-old said. "I thought I was getting better, and then that happened, so that kind of came out of nowhere."
Nick had to quit his radio show to get better, since the kidney problem is an "autoimmune disease that (doctors) found in my system ... like a lupus type thing, but no one else in my family has it," he told the mag. "I feel blessed to be alive."
In the meantime, he's trying to take it easy and get at least six hours of sleep a night. We wonder how twins Moroccan and Monroe feel about that.
