Nicolas Cage won't cough up cash for the IRS
Wesley Snipes isn’t the only one in trouble with the IRS for tax problems. Now Nicolas Cage is fighting the feds after being told he used his company Saturn Productions “to wrongly write off $3.3 million in personal expenses” between 2002 and 2004, Forbes.com says.
He is reportedly now fighting the IRS over payments, filing a lawsuit in tax court disputing $814,000 in taxes and penalties, while his production company won’t fork over $988,000. Cage’s business manager apparently filed expenses for “limos, meals, gifts, travel and his Gulfstream 1159A turbojet" as “security needs.” Sounds like he needs to look into one of those new hybrids.
