Nicole Kidman gives up the goods to the October issue of Vanity Fair, saying she had a mystery engagement between marriages to Tom Cruise and Keith Urban.

“I didn’t really want a relationship,” the 40-year-old actress says. “I just wanted my kids to have me, and I didn’t feel comfortable having some person in that small hubbub. And then I got engaged to somebody ... but it just wasn’t right I wasn’t ready. We weren’t ready.”

She also says she lost a baby with Cruise when she was 23. Neither of those are very funny to us, but it sure makes us want to read the magazine.
