Nicole Kidman really hates those paparazzi
The AP says the actress, who was testifying a defamation suit Fawcett filed against a Sydney newspaper, described being “really, really scared” and crouching low in the back seat of the car she was riding in while Fawcett’s vehicle lurched through traffic trying to take her pic.
“I was frightened and I was worried there was going to be an accident,” Kidman said, demonstrating her gopher routine on the witness stand. A jury has already found that the article in question defamed Fawcett by claiming he hounded Kidman, but the Sun-Herald’s publisher, Fairfax Media, is trying to get out of paying too much in damages — hence the testimony from the horse’s mouth.
“I have been pursued many times. I have had this happen in relation to this particular man ... so many times,” Kidman said. “I employ people to protect me now. I employ people 24 hours to protect myself because I don’t feel equipped to handle things.” Not even with Keith Urban around to protect you?
