Nicole Richie getting her own comedy on ABC
Just in case you had completely forgotten about Nicole Richie, ABC shows it's totally in touch with its audience by giving her a show, Variety reports. Alec Baldwin gone and Nicole Richie in primetime? It's all over now; the zombie horde is on its way.
Richie will star in an untitled comedy -- with scripts and everything -- about "a young, modern and professional woman who must balance her business and family relationships," she said on her Web site. "She must deal with, and navigate the many ideas of what a woman’s role is: modern vs. traditional." Wow, at least it's original.
Californication's Daisy Gardener will write the show, which was apparently Richie's idea. We'd like to say she doesn't know anything about working, but she's a mom now, is working on a second novel and has a clothing and shoe line. She's evolving, like Joey from Friends.
