O.J. pays $125k to go free, and other news
Prosecutors filed formal charges against O.J. on Tuesday for 10 felonies, but on Wednesday Simpson and his attorneys Yale Galanter and Gabriel Grasso ironed out a deal to allow the suspect to post $125,000 bail, TMZ reports.
After Simpson affirmed that he understood the charge against him and told the judge he lived in Miami, the bond was set on the conditions that he surrender his passport and have no contact with witnesses, alleged victims or co-defendants in the case, the site says. A hearing has been set for the week of Oct. 22.
Meanwhile, the site also says it has tape of one of those alleged victims, Bruce Fromong, ranting about how he set up O.J.’s offshore accounts. We’re sure Fred Goldman will find that nugget interesting.
