Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte gets his own reality show
Former UF swimming sensation and Olympic medalist Ryan Lochte's shameless self-aggrandizing is finally going to pay off. He's getting his own reality show on E!, which apparently will run TV shows about anyone these days. Get ready for an onslaught on "Jeah" t-shirts soon.
What Would Ryan Lochte Do has an order for six episodes, following the swimmer as he looks for the "right gal" and trains to, you know, swim (which would make a decent ESPN series all on its own).
"How many people fall in love with the smartest guy in the class? They fall for the fastest swimmer," E! President Suzanne Kolb told Entertainment Weekly. "He is an incredibly endearing personality who is sexy, entertaining and fun. Watching this show, I believe people will fall into three categories: they want to be him, sleep with him or mother him."
We are fine with Gators doing well, but that's certainly a trio of disconcerting choices. We do wonder why E! ordered six episodes, however, because the show is sure to be done after three, no matter how many times he takes off his shirt.
