Oprah Winfrey admits she weighs 200 pounds
For those who haven't noticed (read: don't have eyes, or TV sets), Oprah Winfrey is on the downswing of her latest yo-yo diet, packing on 40 pounds in the last two years. Don't take our word for it -- she says so herself in the January issue of O magazine.
"I'm mad at myself," Winfrey writes. "I'm embarrassed. I can't believe that after all these years, all the things I know how to do, I'm still talking about my weight. I look at my thinner self and think, 'How did I let this happen again?' "
It seems the 54-year-old's problem is an out-of-balance thyroid, that, for some reason, gave Winfrey "a fear of working out." It didn't curb her appetite, though, since she ballooned up from 160 pounds.
"Yes, you're adding correctly; that means the dreaded 2-0-0," she writes. "I was so frustrated I started eating whatever I wanted -- and that's never good. ... "I felt like a fat cow. I wanted to disappear."
The most powerful woman in entertainment now says that her goal is not to be thin, but be strong, healthy and fit. Buy her mag and follow her latest journey to not-fatness today!
