Oprah Winfrey says 'I'm not a lesbian'
Oprah Winfrey is taking the haters on directly, telling Barbara Walters point blank that she's not gay, and pal Gayle King is not her lover. We bet Stedman Graham is pretty glad to hear that.
"I'm not a lesbian ... I'm not even kind of a lesbian," Winfrey says on Thursday's Walters special, Oprah: The Next Chapter. "And the reason why it irritates me is because it means that somebody must think I'm lying. That's number one. Number two ... why would you want to hide it? That is not the way I run my life."
So what is the deal with her and Gayle?
"She is ... the mother I never had. She is ... the sister everybody would want. She is the friend that everybody deserves. I don't know a better person. I don't know a better person,"the 56-year-old told Babs while tearing up. "It's making me cry because I'm thinking about ... how much ... I probably have never told her that. Tissue please. I now need tissue. I've never told her that."
Well, it's a good thing she hears it from a Barabara Walters special. And here it was just Thanksgiving and everything.
