Pageant paid for Miss California's boob job
This has absolutely nothing to do with gay marriage (thankfully), but Miss California pageant officials have confirmed that they paid for Carrie Prejean's breast implants in the weeks leading up to her infamous Miss USA performance.
“It was something that we all spoke about together,” Shanna Moakler told Access Hollywood's Billy Bush on Thursday, referring to herself, Carrie and Keith Lewis, Shanna's co-executive director. “It was an option and she wanted it. And we supported that decision.”
On Friday, Lewis told Early Show anchor Maggie Rodriguez the same thing.
"We assisted when Carrie came to us and voiced the interest in having the procedure done. We want to put her in the best possible confidence in order to present herself in the best possible light on a national stage," he said.
Good to know that idea of inner beauty is alive and well. But leave it to Lewis to backpedal a bit.
"It's not something we endorse, nor is it something that we suggest," he said. "But when we meet with the titleholder when she's crowned Miss California, we put to her a litany of questions about how she feels about herself, what she feels she needs to work on, what she may need to change, what is good, what is not good."
And in this case, small boobs = not good, we guess.
