Proving that yes, we must finally be coming out of the recession, Paula Abdul has found a new paying gig. No, it's not a new reality show -- she'll be hosting the next installment of VH1 Divas, MTV reports. As long as it's not a recurring thing.

Like everything else lately, Abdul announced the deal on her Twitter stream, writing "Hi guys! im really excited 2 announce ill b hosting this year's 'VH1 Divas'! The show will be live on Sept 17th @ 9 pm EST." The show will feature performances by Kelly Clarkson, Miley Cyrus (she qualifies as a diva?), Adele, Leona Lewis and Jordin Sparks.

This will be the return of Divas, which hasn't been on for four years. And boy, did they pick a title-appropriate host.
