Penelope Cruz cries tears of joy when talking about son Leonardo
Now that Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides has almost docked at theaters, thoughts are turning to new mom Penelope Cruz, who has made headlines by shooting the swashbuckler while pregnant with new baby Leonardo. The biggest marketing ploy thus far is how the 37-year-old burst into tears while talking about her son with Javier Bardem in the new issue of Vogue.
"One second," she told interviewer Jason Gay, waterworks ramping up, when he asked how motherhood had changed her. "This has never happened to me. This is really funny. I’m sorry. It's unexpected." Don't worry, it's the good kind of crying.
"From the first second, you feel so much love,” she told the mag. "It is a revolutionary experience. That’s the best way I can describe it. It transforms you completely, in a second. Nature is very wise and gives you nine months to prepare, but in that moment —hen you see that face, you are transformed forever. Even if you have heard from all your friends and family, 'This is what’s going to happen,' until it happens to you, it’s hard to understand in your soul."
Aw, that's pretty sweet. Considering Mrs. Juice* is expecting Baby Juice* in only a few weeks, I can't help but get a little something in my eye, too. That's right, The Juice* has a heart; don't act so surprised.
