Photog run over by Britney Spears deserved it
Occasionally, with all the signs pointing to society crumbling before our eyes, The Juice* is able to find a bit of sanity. To wit: An L.A. judge has ruled that a photographer whose foot was run over by Britney Spears can't sue, because it's his own damn fault for standing in the way of a moving car. Hallelujah!
Deputy District Attorney Joseph D. Shidler wrote in a decision Friday that the "only way the victim's foot could have been where the video indicates it to be was by the victim placing it in that location." The paparazzo wasn't named in the report, likely to shield him from the embarrasment of being run over by Britney Spears.
The complaint had sought a felony charge of failing to stop after an accident involving an injury, but since we've all seen the horde of photogs that surround her car and even the report says she was "driving at an extremely slow rate of speed and in a straight path," you can imagine he had to try pretty hard to get run over. But for now, all is right with the world.
