Photog, security tussle at Hulk Hogan's wedding with Jennifer McDaniel
Rumors flew Tuesday night that Hulk Hogan, 57, and Jennifer McDaniel, 35, got married at Hulk's house in Clearwater Beach, but the whole shebang was marred by a photographer and one of the Hulkster's bodyguards having their own little Wrestlemania as vows were being exchanged. No, it wasn't our own Luis Santana -- we checked.
TMZ was first to report that cops were called to the Eldorado Avenue home, but no one was arrested, which was backed up by a RadarOnline item. Elizabeth Watts, a public information officer with the Clearwater PD, tells The Juice* that officers responded to a call at 5:30 Tuesday evening when paparazzo Robert Martinez was confronted by security member Ron Howard (no, not the director) as Martinez approached the house from the back, trying to take photos and video.
"This encounter escalated to a physical confrontation (pushing and shoving) that was broken up by responding officers," Watts said in her official statement. "Both parties agreed to stop and leave the area without incident." TMZ later added the fight started when Martinez allegedly shouted "I'm packing a gun" after security started shoving him.
TMZ said the PD declined to comment, although Watts notes it was more the fact she wasn't available at the time. Who gets married on a Tuesday, anyway? Radar says Martinez, 35, went to the CPD to file a complaint alleging assault, battery and destruction of property, which differs slightly from the official account.
"After leaving the scene, Martinez arrived at the main station requesting a supervisor to complain that no police report had been taken," Watts said. "An officer explained that a report had, in fact, been taken, and he provided that number to Martinez." She added that the report isn't public record yet, so we can't check what it says.
Other than that, it seems the wedding went off without a hitch, despite a bodyguard thrashing a photog in the background. Kids Brooke and Nick were there, too, and Hulk, nee Terry Bollea, posted a photo of his wedding ring on his Twitter account, @HulkHogan4Real, with the caption "This time were really gonna make history!" Radar notes it went down Tuesday because Hulk was finally able to get a prenuptial agreement, among other incentives.
"Jennifer got wind of ex wife Linda Hogan's new book My Life on the Ropes, which will allege a number of Hulk's affairs and infidelities," a source told the site. You'd think that would make her think twice, if that were the case.
Oh, and as the cherry on top, Nick was in court in Pinellas County Wednesday morning, asking a judge for an early release from his five years of probation in the John Graziano car crash. The request was denied.
