Pippa Middleton faces arrest in Paris gun incident
A royal disaster is brewing in Paris after Pippa Middleton, sister of newly minted Duchess Catherine, was photographed tooling around the City of Light on Saturday with some toolshed who was caught on film pointing a gun at paparazzi. Yeah, The Juice* doesn't usually write about the royals, but this one is pretty outrageous.
Pippa was in the front seat of an Audi convertible when the unidentified driver pulled out what appeared to be a semi-auto pistol and aimed it at the camera. We can't show you the images, because they are selling for big bucks now (see them on our source link). The U.K.'s Sun says Paris cops are preparing to investigate whether to make arrests, while the photographer is mulling whether to file a complaint.
That's a big deal because in Paris, which has had a spate of gun violence lately, brandishing a firearm in public can get you tossed in prison for seven years. Even if the heater is fake, it could get the driver two years, and everyone else -- including Pippa's fashionista pal Arthur de Soultrait, who was in the back seat -- could at least get arrested.
"If the evidence points to her involvement, she will be prosecuted. Anybody involved in the illegal use of a handgun in public is liable to arrest and interrogation," a source told the Sun. "Certainly if you were in a car and knew somebody was using a gun to warn people off you'd be liable to arrest."
It certainly doesn't help that everyone in the car appears to be laughing about the whole thing. Nobody's laughing now, we're pretty sure. Meanwhile, what is it with Paris and the British monarchy? First Prince William's mom Diana and now this. Are they still upset about the Battle of Agincourt? St. Crispin's Day isn't until October, you know.
