Plea deal Thursday! The Hills' Stephanie Pratt, police chief in Sarah Jessica Parker case both strike plea deals
The 23-year-old pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor count of “exhibition of speed,” getting sentenced to three years of informal probation, a 12-week alcohol education program and three AA meetings a week for eight weeks in exchange for her DUI charge being dropped. We wonder if MTV’s going to talk about that.
Meanwhile, another plea deal was in the works for Bridgeport, Ohio, police Chief Chad Dojack, who pleaded no contest to a dereliction of duty charge in the case of Michelle Ross, the surrogate mother of Sarah Jessica Parker’s and Matthew Broderick’s twins.
Dojack entered the plea during a pretrial hearing in order to get felony charge of complicity to burglary and complicity to receiving stolen property dropped, the AP reports. His partner in crime, former Martins Ferry police Chief Barry Carpenter got almost three years in jail; Dojack stands to get up to a whole 90 days next week during sentencing.
Gee, it’s so good to know that if you do the crime, you’ll do the time nowadays.
