President Obama praises Anne Hathaway's 'Dark Knight' performance
Anne Hathaway could almost quit her acting career right now if she wanted. President Obama raved about Hathaway's performance as Selina Kyle (aka Catwoman) in The Dark Knight Rises during an event Monday night. In fact, he said she was his favorite part of the film, the Huffington Post reports.
"She's spectacular," Obama said during a fundraising event at movie producer Harvey Weinstein's Connecticut home, which cost $35,800 per person to attend (!!!). "I got a chance to see Batman, and she was the best thing in it. That's just my personal opinion."
Hathaway's role is said to be the Batman finale's best chance at an Oscar nom in January. Hopefully Obama has put a bug in the ears of the Oscar pooh-bahs.
