Producers can't stop beating a dead cyborg
Did you not get enough Terminator action with 2003’s perfectly awful T3: Rise of the Machines? Good news for you, then: The Halcyon Company has announced a scheme to make no fewer than three new Terminator movies, starting with part four in 2009.
“With T3, we included many incidental details and plot points that, along with the main narrative, set the stage for an entirely new set of inter-related stories covering the future adventures of John Connor and the Terminators,” producer Moritz Borman said. That’s great for the writers, because Arnold Schwarzenegger’s people says the California gov is more interested in leading the state than starring in movies. His term is up in 2011.
In the meantime, Variety says Fox is thinking about picking up The Sarah Conner Chronicles, a Warner Bros.-produced pilot following the mother of the would-be rebel leader John. The movie mythos is true: you can’t stop the apocalypse.
