Rachael Ray pushes baked goods
Annoying as you may find her, there’s something earthy and comforting about Rachael Ray (that must explain the book deals and TV shows). So it comes as no surprise Ray is promoting the Great American Bake Sale, a national campaign from May 19 to Aug. 31 to hold bake sales to raise money for hungry children, the AP reports. “It’s a very simple concept,” Ray said. “When you go to greatamericanbakesale.org, you can read all about it and invite individuals of any age to throw a bake sale ... to raise money to help feed hungry kids in their community.” Actually, what seems like a very simple concept to us is, instead of having a bake sale, give the food to hungry kids. But we’ll let organizers Share Our Strength, Parade and Food Network deal with that.
