Rachelle Lefevre whines about getting booted off Twilight sequel Eclipse
Remember yesterday when we said Bryce Dallas Howard was replacing Rachelle Lefevre as Victoria in the third Twilight movie, Eclipse, because of a scheduling conflict? Well, that was news to Lefevre, who said she had really wanted to stay, but Summit Entertainment must have thought otherwise.
“I was stunned by Summit’s decision to recast the role. I was fully committed to the Twilight saga," Lefevre said in a statement, MTV reports. "I turned down several other film opportunities and, in accordance with my contractual rights, accepted only roles that would involve very short shooting schedules. My commitment to Barney’s Version is only 10 days. Summit picked up my option for Eclipse. Although the production schedule for ‘Eclipse’ is over three months long, Summit said they had a conflict during those 10 days and would not accommodate me. Given the length of filming for Eclipse, never did I fathom I would lose the role over a 10-day overlap."
Well, then it really was a scheduling conflict. Apparently she doesn't know the meaning of the term "fully committed." Here's a hint, Rachelle: If you have a role in a big-name franchise and blow off shooting so you can be in some indie that no one will ever see, rethink your priorities.
