Rapper Heavy D dead in L.A. at 44
Another tiny bit of The Juice*'s childhood has gone missing, because rapper Heavy D died Tuesday at the age of 44. One more piece of fun-loving hip-hop is gone, just like all his Boyz.
TMZ reports the big man, nee Dwight Arrington Myers, was taken to an L.A. hospital around noon Pacific time after somebody called 911 and said there was a large man unconscious in the walkway in front of his Beverly Hills home. When paramedics arrived, the rapper was awake and talking, and was taken to the hospital. He died a short time later.
The police are investigating the death, but foul play doesn't seem to be the case. Myers, who just madea comeback performance at the BET Hip Hop Awards last month, was known for his hit Now That We Found Love, plus the theme songs for In Living Color and MADtv. Personally, we're going to go home and play They Reminisce Over You with Pete Rock and C.L. Smooth, because D and Trouble T. Roy are together again.
