Rapper T.I. taken back to prison for riding on his tour bus
Rapper T.I. was out of prison on Wednesday, but back in by Thursday after an apparent violation of terms of his stay at an Atlanta halfway house. Was it drugs? Guns? Hookers? Speeding? No, it seems he took a ride on a luxury tour bus, but didn't tell the cops that's what he was doing, so he was violated back to the pokey.
TMZ says the rapper, who was serving an 11-month sentence for probation violation over drug possession already in an Arkansas prison, told officials he'd be taking a low-key, private mode of transportation to his ATL lodging, telling the Federal Bureau of Prisons he'd take some sort of van. That van turned out to be a tricked-out tour bus, the site says, so freakin' U.S. Marshals showed up to take him away for lying on the form.
The site says even the manager at the halfway house argued that was a ridiculous turn of events, but T.I. was processed into a federal penitentiary in Atlanta, anyway. You know, because taking a giant tour bus halfway across the South is a real danger to society.
