Real Housewives of Atlanta's Lisa Wu-Hartwell loses her house
For further proof that reality entertainment is anything but, Lisa Wu-Hartwell of Real Housewives of Atlanta is the second star of that show to lose her house to the bank, TMZ reports. Bravo's going to have to figure out what they should call this parade of absurdity from now on.
Wu-Hartwell and NFL vet hubby Edgerton Hartwell were kicked out of their multimillion-dollar mansion last week after they defaulted on the loan. The $2.9 million manse brought a mere $1.9 mil in a short sale this month.
The couple had tried to restructure the loan but couldn't work that out, leading to the short sale, which is only slightly less embarrassing than when NeNe Leakes was kicked out of her house for not paying rent. But don't think they're homeless just yet.
"Ed and Lisa are fine," the rep said. "They have settled in their (new) home, that sits on 10 acres and they own it!"
But if they already owned a house (reports say it's an older home in Braselton, an hour from the city), what's with the default? Sell the old one and keep the new one, we say! But hey, there are pointless facades to keep up for high society, right?
