'Real Housewives' NeNe Leakes gets evicted
NeNe Leakes, quite possibly the most annoying member of The Real Housewives of Atlanta crew, spent an awful lot of time flaunting her big-money lifestyle. Too bad she and hubby Greg Leakes just got evicted from their Duluth, Ga., home. Whoops.
The couple left the 5,000-square-foot house in November after Winwood Properties filed an eviction notice, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution says. It seems Greg owed $6,240 in past due rent. Wait, rent? Yes, it seems the house was purchased for $829,400 by Kajani Shenaz Ali, who now lives overseas, in 2006, the same year the Leakeses moved in.
NeNe corresponded with the AJC via e-mail, writing "it's none of your business" where she now resides and that she and Greg "are financial able (sic) and stable to live where ever we feel fits."
The 41-year-old was quick to point out that the eviction notice doesn't have her name on it and that the arrangement "was a lease purchase corporate deal with Greg & his company. Things didn’t work out between the two of them so they did what they had to do and he did what he had to do."
Usually things not working out in that sense means he can't pay the bills. The show called him a real estate investor, and he's listed with a business called Advantage Move LLC in Georgia, but the phone number was disconnected, the paper says.
"If we rent, lease purchase or buy, money is still coming out of my pocket," NeNe wrote. "So who’s (sic) business is that??"
Hey, you're the one living it up on the Bravo network, so you tell us why we should care.
